This Privacy Policy describes how the Byaj Calculator Android application (package com.ram.byajcalculator, the "App") handles information when you use it. The App is developed and maintained by an individual developer ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

In short: The App is an offline interest calculator. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from you. The only data exchanged with our servers is the language preference you choose, which is stored locally on your device. The App does serve third-party advertisements through Google AdMob, which has its own privacy practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information collected by the App itself

The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Your name, email address, phone number, or contact details
The values you enter into the calculator (principal amount, interest rate, time, etc.)
The results produced by the calculator
Your location, contacts, photos, files, or any other personal data
Any device identifier for our own use

All calculations are performed entirely on your device. Calculator inputs and results are never sent to our servers because we do not operate any servers that receive your data.

1.2 Information stored locally on your device

The App uses Android's SharedPreferences mechanism to store a single setting on your device: your selected language preference (English or Hindi). This preference never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.

2. Advertising — Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (a service operated by Google LLC and its affiliates) to support its development. To serve ads, Google AdMob may collect and process certain data from your device, which may include:

Advertising ID (a resettable identifier assigned by Android)
IP address and approximate location derived from it
Device information (model, operating system version, app version, language, screen size)
Information about your interaction with ads (impressions, clicks)

This collection happens directly between Google AdMob's SDK embedded in the App and Google's servers. We do not have access to any of this data in personally identifiable form. Google uses this data to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising in accordance with its own policies:

You can opt out of personalized advertising on Android by going to Settings → Google → Ads and enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization", or by resetting your Advertising ID at any time.

3. Permissions

The App declares only the permissions automatically required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK:

Internet access — required to fetch advertisements from Google AdMob. The App does not use the internet for any other purpose.
Advertising ID — required for ad targeting and measurement (granted automatically on Android 13 and above).

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, calendar, phone state, or any other sensitive permission.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience financial calculator and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through advertising interactions, please contact us so we can work with Google AdMob to address the concern.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because we do not collect any personal information about you on our side, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. The local language preference stored on your device is removed automatically when you uninstall the App or clear its data from Settings → Apps → Byaj Calculator → Storage.

For any data Google AdMob may have collected, please refer to Google's data deletion and retention practices in their privacy policy linked above.

6. Security

Since the App does not transmit your calculation inputs, results, or any personal data to us, there is no transmission for us to secure. Ad-related network requests made by the Google Mobile Ads SDK use industry-standard encrypted connections (HTTPS) managed by Google.

7. Your Rights

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside (such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or India), you may have rights regarding personal data. Since the App itself does not collect personal data, requests to access, correct, or delete data should generally be directed to Google AdMob for any data collected through their SDK. You may also exercise the device-level advertising controls described in Section 2.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the advertising SDK we use or applicable law. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will indicate the date of the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the App listing on Google Play.
